I remember someone posting a sig once in the big sig area that was just their name, but if you looked at it upside-down you could read the name as well... sorry for the lame explanation, but if I knew what the effect might be called, or had more sleep i would've found it already. I've searched everywhere (except where it is, if it still is anywhere - this could've been quite a while ago) and i can't find anything.

Whoever did the sig then gave a mini-tut on how to acheive the effect.. and THAT is what I'm looking for I seem to remember Ruski's name in one of these sigs, but not sure if he was the one to post the original and the tut... ??

That would be Mahjqa...have a look at his sigs page. The one you're talking about is number 52.

I suppose you're speaking about Mahjqa's Mirrored sig.
First of all, since the shape of the sig. is symetrical compared to its center, not all the names can be done that way. If you're not sure about what you're doing, you should begin to draw some roughs and turn the page to see how you can make 2 letters look the same when rotated by 180°. When you've got the basic shape you can draw one half of the sig. duplicate and rotate it, then merge the 2 half together, and finally give some texture, lighting and eventually some movement to the shape.

Tha'ts ok mahj...it wasn't really that hard. Your sigs tend to be quite memorable.

thanks yeh it wasn't my name i was going to try to do.. and I came up with something pretty good on paper which i'll post once i build it in photoshop or illustrator... hmmm... maybe in lightwave... have it work in three dimensions rather than just two? maybe not
