I just found your hnds on site and downloaded the zipped tuts. I now feel like my attempts at graphics are inadequate on a grand scale.

while clicking through the tutorials I noticed that the pages are very well constructed and visually appealing. I may never draw again. Well, maybe. Seriously though... it kinda makes my feeble attempts appear to be made with those big clunky pieces of sidewalk chalk... LOL.

Amazing tutes huh? I leanred how to use my photoshop on my Evaluation copy of 4.0 by reading docs tutorials. I also learned a lot of great things by doing Kai's tutorials. I think those are currently hosted over at Gurus Newtwork.

for the signature its 'img' not 'image' but that freehost might not let you remote link.

It normally does... but I musta screwed sumthin up when I uploaded the image....

It probably wont for long though... It's free everything, no banners, no pop-ups, no real restrictions = no profit for them = I'll be looking for new host in 3-6 months

Does anyone know if there are tuts on PShop7 that show how to make drop down menus with hotlinks?

I can do the rollovers, but when I try to make a transparent pane pop out with links on it... well, thats where things fall apart.

Can you put an interactive rollover on top of a previous rollover?

No, because that's not something you do with photoshop. That's something you do with HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

I know its a script thing, but I was tinkering around with Xara Menu Maker and Photoshps Image ready and noticed a similarity... errr... just a similarity that they both employ rollovers.

I also noticed that the different slices in Image Ready can be assigned to different states. I actually got as far as getting my transparent menu to pop out of the two state button but then things just stall... I dont really understand the script that Pshop's Image Ready uses. Nor do I fully understand how to incorporate the menu popping out of a button thing...

It seems that Pshop is set up to do this by using Image Ready... but it's one of those things hidden to the novice user.

I just recently realized that gimp animates frames... DOH!

Well just like moaiz, I pretty much learned my way around PS using the good Doc's tuts. That and a little bit of Phong thrown in there.

I still have a LOT to learn! It's a never ending battle for myself i'm afraid. But with the great help here and the Doc's tuts, I've learned a lot already.
