This could go in a few different forums...
but this should be fine.

- Looking to create an updated list of downloadable gallery software that some of you may have used/be using for photos or otherwise.
A few get mentioned in passing around here, but I'd like to gather up a solid list.
So if you have some links handy of something that you thought was particularly good/clean/slick... toss the web addy out here.
On the same account... if you've used something that was complete trash... let us know about that as well.

Cheers.

Is this something you wanted?

I've used perl and ImageMagick to automatically generate thumbnails, and create a gallery page. All I had to do was stick a picture in the pictures directory, and run the script. (ImageMagick can also use: the command line, C, C++, Perl, Java, PHP, Python, or Ruby)

The software I use to showcase my photo's online is just the one that comes bundled with PhotoShop7 (File>Automate>Web Photo Gallery) I don't really like any of the templates they provide, so I choose the style I would like to keep, create the gallery, then edit it in Dreamweaver. Bit longwinded I suppose but it's the twisted way to which I have become accustomed.
