whoo! i havent been here in a while. i kinda forgot about the asylum. good to be back though. well anyway i got an mp3 player for Christmas, but my sister who got it for me didnt realize it was prolly the crumbiest thing on the planet. it has an 8 mb ram dealio, which, from what my brother says can hold about 2 songs. lol. so my sister agreed to return and and get me another better one if i help pay for a lil but of it. so what are some good reliable mp3 players but less than 50 dollars. thanks! oh and what store should i get it at (i.e. best buy, circuit city, etc.)?

Personally, I like mp3 players that read them from CDs, instead from integrated flash memory. Having a player with just a couple of hundred megabytes (or eve less, like 8Mb in you case, which is just plain silly) makes them really crippled. So, my vote goes to iRiver Mp3 players... Players that come with integrated HDD are also very nice, but they fit in a completely different category.

yeah max, i also got a mp3 player which reads them from a cd...but my player is already very damaged, so i received a new one which reads from an integrated flash memory for xmas. i also enjoy this one, since it has 256mb memory and it is also a usb data stick. 2 in 1

I picked up one of those MSI 5 in 1 Playes. 128 Mb, Radio, Recorder, USB Drive and all that jazz. Does me just fine. I mainly wanted it as a USB drive as I work on various files both at home and at university, but the MP3 playing abilties certainly help pass the time whilst I travel.
