I really hope they nail it. Even if they dont its still Adams, I even liked that BBC thing they did of it awhile back. |

Depends on how decidedly british the lead character needs to be. If they are going to americanize it a bit I would like to see Jason Lee as Arthur Dent, and The Rock as Zaphod Beelblebrox. |

Oooooo, the Rock would be perfect as Zaphod! |

I don't see the Rock at all. I would think Johnny Dep as Ford and Brandon Fraser as Arthur, and perhap Jeff Goldblum as Zaphod, as Zaphod is an ex-hippy. with Kate Hudson as Trillian. |

Dont you think Goldblum is a bit twiggy to be Zaphod? |

In my mind there's one actor that would be spot on as Zaphod: |

actually, I always thought of Ford Prefect as Bill Pullman (the President in 'Independence Day') and of Arthur as Fry from Futurama... but that's my own fucked up head, though... |

i hope they do a good job on this. i loved the BBC thing they did. These are great books and i would hate to wittness these books being put to the screen as a piece of shit. |

The stories so good, it would hard to turn a piece of shit out of it. |

Hmm that's not at all how I imagined him. I like the head but the boddy does seem a lil' too cute. I seem to remember the books making mention of his eyes being lights too, but I could be and probably am mistaken. I glad this movie is once again moving forward, I am really looking forward to this! |

That's odd, I kinda pictured Trillian to look like that... Anyone able to track down a picture of Arthur? |

Let's just keep in mind that IMDB isn't always the most accurate of sources. (I mean, the thing already has London listed as a filming location and they're still in casting.) |

A picture of martin freeman, the guy listed to play Arthur, in his character for 'The Office' (which is a damn funny show for those who've never seen it) |

I'm interested to see what they do with it this go round... The previous film version was really long and so very discount Dr. Who. I enjoy the stories, but we left wanting after seeing the first version on film. With a slightly larger budget and some new special effect technology I think they could pitch a winner. |

That, and the fact that I think they're aiming for an entirely british cast...Harry Potter made it a fashionable option, so now others are jumping on the bandwagon |

Personally I could only see Vivian Stanshall as the book if they HAD to remake it ... but I can't see the point in making it anyway. It was, it is and it always will be - RADIO drama ... not visula, not written ... RADIO ... |
