I have my Windows XP and Windows 2000 Pro computers networked. Because I've reinstalled Windows XP, I need to get my backed up files from the 2k computer. Whenever I try copying the files back to XP, Win2k hangs. Any suggestions? Brodo

My easy solution was to set up an FTP account, using a very light program (Cerberus), and use my IP address as the address, like ftp://usernameassword@128.103.186.209/ at the browser address bar (IE is good at this). Then, by dragging and dropping, I can transfer files to and from both computers. This works fine because I rarely need to connect both computers. It's just a good workaround for me. Hey.
