We have done so.

I didn't really like it. There was so much flashing that it really hurt my eyes (and god forbid someone with epilepsy should watch it), and the music was sort of boring. The effects were neat, but overall it didn't enthrall me the way most demos do.

It is impressive that it's so small. But I'd rather see a larger one which was more impressive, I guess. Doing a lot with a small amount of code isn't as cool as doing something amazing with a large amount of code, I think.

Blur*** is not really my cup of tea. In fact, my preference goes to :

Gracchus by Freestyle and Kolor

for its clean scenes and lighting ( looking like radiosity or a scene in NELL on amiga )

Hi freaks by Black Maidens

for its style.

Gracchus didn't work for me. Sound worked, and there were some white shapes with some fade-to-white effects inbetween, but I don't think things were being textured right or something. Dunno why.

Slime: There's a 10Mb Divx version of Gracchus available. But there's no textures at all. It's supposed to show some slow paced scenes with a global lighting algorythm ( sg like radiosity )

InI: Yeah, I only saw Little Nell as a divX but it seems to be a huge CPU time eater.
Relais is a masterpiece too. I didn't knew/remembered Kolor had done some GeForce only stuffs ...

Those ATI/NV only prods are pissing me these days. I see them like a failure to support the standards, for no valid reason, similar to what we see in the web design world.

I agree with you about the achievement and creativity involved in the 64Kb and 4Kb categories. BTW it's been a while since a demo didn't made me a "WOW effect" of the level of Candytron or Zoom 3. Well the exception is certainly the.popular.demo

256b intros ( 256b.com ) are also my cup of coffee though it's more like a "one shot" category where you can only fit 1 or 2 effects. Lately a former Amiga coder did TexTorus 2 which is nothing less than a lightsourced textured torus in 3D.
