... 3rd grade ... it was the third grade when I learnt that Australia was the only single nation continent.

Welcome to asylum shock, I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. If you don't, we'll simply corrupt you until you do. =)

edit: my bad -- I blame my 3rd grade teacher :P. Largest nation in our continent. I actually realised this was wrong about 15 min's after my post. It's odd, I knew the actual answer, and have been corrected before but it never seems to stick... such a basic thing.

I learned it a little different. Australia is not a continent, because Oceania also has New Zealand and other small island in it.

[EDIT] A little research in Google and I learned that one of the other "small islands" is Papua New Guinea that actually is bigger and has more people inside than New Zealand.[/EDIT]

I followed your "Reception Room" link and ended up in the Who's Who threads. Then, I read the first one, from 2000, and the last one.
It's interesting that the age average of the people that participates in here is going down. In the first thread about who's who, people are in their 20's, 30's, some 40's. Now, it seems that it's rare to find people more than 30 years old and many of the regular participants are below 20.

So, Asylum is getting younger as time goes by. Any good explanation?

Australia *IS* in Asia.

Geographically and sociopolitically Australia is Asia.
There used to be a lot of problems caused by the anglo-saxon, white power imperialists
who believed Australia to be a clone of the UK.

By recognising that Australia actually belongs to Asia, Australians are much better off.
As it has been pointed out, Australia is the only single nation state continent.
Since we can not, as a nation, live in a vaccum we have to become a part of the 'region'.
We can not be all alone.
The choice is between Antartica and Asia and heads wiser than myself chose Asia.

The abuse of shock therapy may be responsible of this, or maybe the 'thing' of the north wong.

So, you don't have a character of your own? You need to borrow one from Asia? Don't you like the penguins' character?
