you should be able to get colored lenses at any better optician in this strange western world of us. At least, I know I'd be able to up here in germany.

it's been my experience that the optician will tell you all the precautions, as well as, a bunch of other useful information about wearing lenses when you go to be sized for them. i think it's in their job description.....

Definately get the lenses through an optician. Lenses bought without being fit to your eyes can cause problems ranging from simple discomfort to really nasty infections that cause blindess.

When is the event? How much time you have can greatly impact just how creative you can be...

The possibilities are endless: do you know anybody in theatre? Do you have any great costume shops in your area? They can provide the materials to make the horns (plaster of paris, latex - whatever medium you like) and good adhesives to attach them with. They can also provide good face paints and cosmetic teeth. (I think he had some rather fantastic teeth if my memory serves me correctly).

i'd use vaseline to make your eyebrows lay down well and then apply spirit gum and some of the same material you cover your melon with to hide the eyebrows and then use some makeup to blend that material in with your melon...
