if it is the yamakasi type stuff, then it also has another name (yamakasi being the french 'troupe' who originally were practicing it prompting director Luc Besson of Leon fame to make a movie called 'Yamakasi' about the french guys raising money for a ransom or some such shite - haven't seen it but the jumping around and running up walls stuff is damn cool.)

Oh forget to say the other name LOL - well it is also called 'free running'

tee hee! it's like the french version of jackass.

these guys do similar (some even better) stunts, with key differences:

1 - train themselves for the stunt
2 - decide whether or not they could, in fact, pull it off
3 - try to avoid pain

i suppose the major distinction is that one group uses skill, the other stupidity.

reitsma: if you really wanna see some French guys in the vein of JackAss, watch the movie called "Les 11 commandements" with Michael Youn and his friends. The team of 6 guys did ~15 weirdo jokes including dancing with a "tutu" in a russian zero-gravity plane ( they were sick to death due to the hyperbolic trajectory of the plane ), being in underwears and waiting to be shot by a soccer player and a tennis woman ( the balls going at ~180Km/h ) , renting a house and tape all the doors, windows, etc.. to finally fill it with 1m of water and have a party, or a contest to find out who'll get arrested in the minimum of time.
