I have just bought an 120 gb hardrive. It's detected
correctly in bios. But I can't find it in windows!!?
I have recently updated bios so there should not be
any problems there.
My mobo is Asus A7V333 and the hardrive is
Western Digital Caviar WD1200JB-00FUA0 120Gb
7200rpm 8Mb Fluid UDMA100 IDE.
OS Win2k.

You likly just need to format the drive in windows to get access to it.

Right click My Computer. Click Manage. Then look in Storage->Disk Management.

In there you should have all of your currently detecting drives marked as partitioned and one more large one that detects as unpartitioned. Partition that by the right-click menu Format or you can partition it if you want to break it down into smaller logical drives.
I recommend using NTFS format since it handles the large drives better unless you are worried about DOS based recovery programs that will not be able to read the NTFS. If that is the case go with FAT32.

When this happens to me I usually open up the case, point at the hard drive and yell. THERE IT IS MOTHERF#%$@R RIGHT FREAKING THERE!!!

that usually does the trick.

Well, tj333s help is all I could have offered anyhow. Sorry, hope it fixes your problem.
(Though you could see if you can see the drive in the device manager, if you can't find it in the partition panel thingy)
