Yes it has been a long while since I've said anything around these parts of the world but I've been working hard on gettin projects happening for my showreel. Hopefully then I can flood potential employers with it and get things cracking with my career.

But I post this now because first and foremost, the way I intend to design this showreel (we're talking about DVD format here complete with menus, etc) is to have a theme that kinda relates to the history of cameras and directors. So Im after old photos dating back as far as possible of directors posing next to their cameras, or about to shoot, that sorta thing for inspiration and reference. Ive seen them around but not sure where, may have to go to the library.

So if anyone has any information regarding where I can get some decent photos of this sort of thing, then please let me know. Thank you in advance!

I'd say the library would be your best bet. There's bound to be quite a few books about the history of cinema and motion camera tecnhology. Anything you find online was probably scanned from a book in the first place.

They'd probably be much more helpful with a phone call, anyway. The guy I dealt with was very friendly, too.
