![]() I'm currently working on a new website for me! but stumbled on a questioned... my content and navigation is all on one .html page with no frames but there are many pages within my site so that mean everytime some loads a different page the graphics would all refresh and stuff... is there a way to make is do only the content part change and when you scroll the whole page scrolls... and if i was to change something in the navigation then i'd have to go through every page... |

![]() KARN: Sorry your man uses frames but he only uses them to maks the fact he is drawing his pages from elsewhere (its domain hosting on the cheap). There are ways to do what you want but it would depend on the design, the amount of content, etc. that you are going to use. However, I can see nothing like what you describe on this page - the art if good but I can't see any fancy DHTML effects. I think you'll also have to be more specific about what you want and/or knock up an intial design to give us an idea of what you are aiming at. |

![]() KARN: If you are really going to have a very graphic heavy page which will make slow connections creak under the strain then you could require something like frames - I might suggest cutting down on the large graphics but it is your call. Remember that the images will probably cache anyway so once the first download has been done then things will get faster anyway. |

![]() Server Side Includes are what he's using (apparently). That allows you to create a page, and include it on all others. The images should cache without a problem. |
