Here's the page for some reason, even accessing the layer directly with document.getElementById() rather than the eval statements doesn't work. it works fine in netscape and netscape 6 so I'm guessing I've just been staring at the code so long there's probably some obvious mistake I've overlooked.

Just a quick thought that IE might return certain .style attribs with a "px" on the end. I might be mistaken and that could be NS but I think I remember one of them returning their .left and .top with a px measurement on the end. If this is the case then a substring function on the string with get you what you are looking for. I will look into it as soon as I can to confirm this.

- can't decide? have another drink.

Well it doesnt give an error, it just doesnt seem to do anything, I doubt its a problem with the code at all. I've had the exact same problem/symtoms before.

Are you sure the images your trying to preload are there ?

- If you do get stuck and decide to redo the loader, feel free to steal code from my site (click the sig), my preloader doesnt work on how many images its loaded.. the sizes of the images are saved in an Array, so its a little more accurate, and it flows better(the progress bar).

There is basically two functions that handle the loading loadImage() and percentCheck() BTW.

.. .. .. if you get stuck and lazy
