The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

But wouldn't a properly compressed giff file be smaller?

I'm sure I could get an image at that resolution smaller than 5013 bytes.

I used that data storage method in my PAINT GIFT entry for http://www.the5k.org in the "mail the the picture" feature.
The hex code of the color of each pixel is added in the body parameter of mailto: link.
Once the receiver click on the URL in the mail body, the parameter sent in the URL is split on client side and generates the picture.

If it's unclear, just test paint gift and watch the code
Cheers,

[EDIT]Actually, there was a little bug in the version submitted to the5k.org which noticed and fixed few hours after the deadline. That bug is that the last pixel isn't processed at the geneartion of a picture. The bugfixed version of PAINTGIFT is here[/EDIT]
