How can I have a map, if possible, that when the user rolls over a certain "point" there is a rollover effect for another image?

notasitseems: I think you might actually need to slice your image up into separate sections and then do a simple rollover on the bits you need to change.

Make a normal imagemap, call the rollover "onmouseover" in the link on the imagemap.
Then you can change an image that is NOT part of the imagemap, or swap a layer or trigger another script.
To change something inside the imagemap cannot be done, if you need that you must fake it by tracking the mouse and show a layer with an image on top of the imagemap in the right place.
