For the good of humanity, we cannot allow you access to such a script.

*tip off the week*
Put your stuff on a div and let it stand out by using css.

*tip of the year*
Do not mess with other people's windows. Do not mess with their tools to control a window.
Do not hijack their browsers.

mas: maybe you've never encountered the no-titlebar popup. It's anchored to the upper left corner of your screen with no browser controls at all. I'm talking not even the 3px window border. It just sits there. And it's pretty damn big. And it's filled with ads. And somewhere amid the junk, there's a tiny button that says "Close Window". And that's the only way to close it

...another Internet Explorer Exclusive!

And for gods sake derketa, don't use it.

ozphactor: in those occasions CTRL+W is my friend.

Indeed chromeless windows doesn't ruin the design of the site but they surely ruins the user's habbits and need of control.

derketa: remember that this trick is highly dependent of the browser.

Ozphactor: or Alt+F4 - it pays to know your shortcut keys =)

Derketa: the point we're all trying to make here is that a web page should not manipulate a user's interface. It's an extremely horrible design practice, and I don't think *anyone* around here commends it. Present the user with a nice web page, and leave their browser alone, and they'll come back again.

Ok, perhaps not PC, and I'll let you figure out the details (or whant part of it to use), but here's a bit that I've used to show an image in a new window (only works in IE that I know of)

if (newimg == Behrman012.JPG') {
bookWindow = window.open(newimg,"bookWin", "resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,width=505,height=550");
bookWindow.focus();

PS-- this had better not be for one of those anoying pop-ups!!!

I suggest you look into compiling the flash file as an executable. I've seen executable flash files before, it works well for a standalone game.

Yup, a Flash Projector (Standalone .exe flash player with your movie embeded into it) is the best way to do this. Go to File -> Publish Settings... And check the Windows/Mac Projector option.
