this works perfectly the way i want it to in IE6. Someone please help me make this code work in Netscape. here's the page.

The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.

In which version of netscape? - the latest one - 7 i think

I'd use document.images["nextid"] or document.getElementById("nextid") instead - you hit the nail right on the head. i changed it according to your suggestions and it's working terrific.

which error do you get in Netscape? - something like nextid not defined
