![]() InI: It's really kind that you fixed the mess in line and column 0 for me. It made me blush quote: It's ho so true! When I was in the Atari scene, I spent many nights watching the demos of my 'idols', trying to find how they did this or that, dissassembling their code to learn new tricks and test my thoughts against real good code, counting the clock ticks taken by any GFA basic instruction ... Whatever I did, my idols kept their status of idol to me and I never managed to beat them at their own game. Later, when I met some of them, they confirmed me that I went pretty close to their skills ( in the specific domains I had worked like crazy and given the limitations of the language I used ). That was great to have the recognition of my pairs, but I knew and still know there's a huge load of far better coders than me on this planet. On the other hand, it's great to know there'll always be someone to learn from. quote: Is integer arithmetic faster than floating point in Java, or you did that by habit or for the fun of it ? |
