Topic awaiting preservation: Dashed Lines (Page 1 of 1)

Hello,
I need some help with dashed lines... don't you create a custom brush, set the step value to something like 10... and then paint the dashed line?
Problem is, I don't see where I can set the property set, for the paintbrushes.
I'm going to try and figure this out, but if anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate it : )

Ok, I found the adjustment for spacing. However, you only end up with dots... I was hoping to end up with dashes.

In PS 6, create a selection, go EDIT>>Define Brush, name it if you wish. In your brushes pallette, it should be the last one. Select the brush, and right click, adjust spacing til you like it.

In PS 7, Select the brush tool, and in the brushes pallette, select a square brush, adjust roundness til you have the shape you want, and adjust spacing til you like it.

There was a thread not too long ago about stroking a Path.
In PS7, you can set the brush to stroke in the direction of a path.
So, define a brush that is a dash, set it to stroke the direction, adjust Spacing to taste, and stroke that bad boy.

That new feature in the new engine kind of obseletes multi-stroking in a lot of cases.
