layer mask or possibly a 'clipping group'. Look those up in your menual... or the hilp foles. |

Did you drag it into the address bar or just click it? Because GeoCities does not allow direct image linking, so you have to drag it to work. |

ok, cloudman, your process sounded easy the whole copy and paste thing, except i tried and instead of pasting INTO the shape layer, it's just doing it on top (??) what the heck am i doing wrong? |

Well, thats fine, as long as the image is in the shape of. . .your shape. Then yoou can add bevelling or drop shadows or whatever. |

Another alternative would be to fill a new layer above the photo and fill with white. Create the shapes with the pen tool, and the photo layer active. Right click and select *Make Selection*. CTRL+C (to copy), then CTRL+V ( to paste into new layer). Drag the new layer above the white layer. Apply layer style drop shadow. |
