Topic awaiting preservation: entering a contest..suggestions? (Page 1 of 1)

it's just a contest for the most creative signature, they had one already and i won it, but can't hurt to try again right? so i've been trying to figure out what to do...now i have this one pic, and im thinking of adding this effect to it , the underwater effect, does it look appealing at all?

Well...no. Sigs (IMHO) should say something about you. Either a style you`ve developed, something you like to do, something from your history, something about who you are, or want to be.

What I see here is a nearly drowning black woman that doesn`t seem to care..
Do something you like and make it your own work. Create a graphical version of a piece of you. Seems most sig contest judges like that.

So what does the docilebob and blade sig say about you?

That blade says more to me than some text with a blue white graident. DB's been playing with weapons since my first post here, he wouldn't be the same without them. btw, he has a sig rotator on so not everyone will see that sig.

yup, Bob's a psychopathic murderer on the lam from the law. weapons are a speciality. That's why we're all kind to him, we'd rather he didn't hunt us down and put us to sleep.

beeru02: Some good advice above but I suppose the important thing is to tailor it for the forum you are entering the sig into. Clearly something like that wouldn't impress anyone here but if the sigs which win a big banner like affairs which don't have much to do with your name, etc. and are more a means to display your PhotoShopping skills then that is a whole different matter......

As you've already won once then you must have a good idea of what they are looking for - how about posting a link to the contest and past contests?

If it`s important to you, I suppose it comes from several years as a woodcarver, a couple of decades as a carpenter and several years of martial arts training. Although all the weapons I learned aren`t sharp. I like them the best.
