I just realized that my ability to paint is completely non-existant, so I'm tackling some paintings without lineart. This is the first of them, and I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far. Anyways, C&C would be appreciated, especially concerning the painting aspect (other C&C of course appreciated).

i think its a great start cfb, right off the bat i notice his right eye is a little off, the shading is well done you defined the light source well, i cant wait to see the next rendition.

you've probably already seen this link at CA but i suggest looking at some Loomis material for some basic rules on facial construction.

Good start, cfb. EzRa is right about the eye. If it`s moved over towards the nose a bit the horn above it will look more correctly placed, as well.
Then go over it again, blend those colors and work some more shadow in as you go.
Then go over it again, and add some details and finish smoothing.
I like the colors you`re using, maybe add some greens or blues in the shadows...
Looking forward to seeing this one finished.

I like the colours too cfb, the way your developing the light on the face is nice, and the jaw line in relation to the neck is so well proportioned. Great start. What are you using?

The area between the left cheekbone and temple appears slightly depressed... still I love that jawline...

Oh sorry. I guess that I haven't

My bad.

I found out that you can delete the files that store the passwords (SAMS), and it will reset the passwords to nothing. Well, I looked around on the internet, but before I read enough to feel safe about doing it myself, I found a little program that does it for you. Vah-la! It worked!
