Check out this guy's portfolio of retouching. Especially take a look at the airbrushed models, WOW.

krets: Great find - that is some scary work - and women (esp. young girls) think they should live up to these images? How?

Very nice stuff. Looks like some fun projects, I wish I had more fun projects instead of airbrushing out nipples and unwanted hair from Lingerie Ads. (One would think it would be more intresting, but try doing 15-20 images every few months for 14 years, it soon looses it's charm.)

Most of the retouchs looks alot more diffucult then they realy are. Having good Photography, photo instructions, and Photo stylists who understands what the retoucher needs will get you halfway there. I do find the blonde model shot a bit too creepy, somethings wrong with the eyes and the shaping of face could have been done a bit better, but then Art Directors often go too far. The Sign image is nicely done, but seems like a lot of work to get something that look so illustrated. I think I would have tried it in a 3d package instead.

So... You all do realize that photos can be easily retouched to look bad as they do to look good. I'm not saying he's a fraud but.... The only retouching could just be the rollovers.

So true and much of the work is standard fair. It's also often unwise to retouch. Many times you will find the customer responds better to more natural retouched images or models shot using only make-up. I find if they can tell you did the work you have gone too far.

OK WAIT A MINUTE HERE, WAAAIT A MINUTE!

Man this is SO wierd!
This exact same url is the one a friend of mine in LA just emailed to me yesterday, as a joke... bcuz his name is Greg too... but he does NOT use PS or do any graphics work at all. I don't know where he got the link from... but to see someone else post the exact same one the next day is very odd.

And cool!

PS: nice work, some i like some i don't; tad overkill perhaps on a few. Good overall though i think. I've seen worse.

What the hell are you blabbering about Insider? If you'll look at the rest of his porfolio you'll see he does work for Pixar and other large companies. So, a fraud? I doubt it.

I don't know, but I would be proud if it was my portfolio...If he's a fraud then I don't know what to call myself.
The bikini babe (whole figure9 was more female unretouched, though.

WOW. Those guys with the noses had a major overhaul. Now only if they could shrink the honkers a bit.

Did you see the blond's lips? Can you say, liquify tool?

Theres no way it's a fraud because if you compare any of his rolloverios the originals look like they'd be harder to do, see the woman in the bikini, that would be legendary if he painted all those extra blemishes.

Krets: I dont think Insider was actually pointing the finger, he was just saying maybe.

On closer inspection of the guys site, i came across this little bit of info, that works great for cleaning things up.

Its amazing how such a little bit of knowledge can improve your work.

I was thinking the same thing Cloudman. I would think it would be cheaper to just get a girl that looked good instead of airbrushing over a nasty one.

She got better looking and skinnier... maybe they should get 3rd world models to pose they start skinny already so its just a matter of making them look good (and healthy...) I would imagine you could get a girl in a 3rd world country to pose for a bowl of rice a day.
