I know it can be done, but i'm not sure how to do it. I need to learn how to take a picture and remove all the color except for in certain things. for example, a wedding picture and the entire picture is in black and white, except for the bouquet which is still in full color |

MMH - though warjournal's answer may sound like it's less than you're aksing, it is in fact exactly what you need to do. |

Cant you also draw clip paths around the items you want to save and Greyscale the rest? Of course you'd have to turn the path into a selection. But wouldnt that be a bit easier? |

I'd go the lazy route which would be to duplicate the layer and desaturate the bottom one. Then I'd erase everything on the top layer except the flowers. No painting involved |

hmm, I think I'd desaturate then paint in the flowers with the history brush |

I always forget about the History Brush. Hmm, maybe I should use that more. LOL |

convert to greyscale, then paint over the areas you want to color with the history brush. There's always a simpler way :P |

Couldn't you use the sponge tool and desaturate the areas where you don't want color? |

Or just duplicate the color layer, desaturate it completely, then erase away the parts you want to have full color. Wham, bam, thank you ma'am. |
