Well, yes it is...you just do it with layers. When you put one layer on top of a another in photoshop any areas on the top layer that are transparent willshow the layer beneath. You can even have semi transparency, but not with a gif image. |

you can change the blend mode of the top layer eg to multiply or overlay, or if you prefer, change the opacity of the top layer |
