Can anyone give me a bit of a tip on how to remove noise from a scanned photo? Just the regular RGB noise. I'll get to posting an example.

You could try switching to LAB mode, use Gaussian Blur on the A and B channels and then run Despeckle and/or Dust and scratchs on the L channel. This works well for many noise types expecially Jpeg artifacts. But I takes some expermenting with various setting.

I seem to recall there being a trick where if you scan your image in at 15° and then straighten it out again in PS, that will reduce some noise. I can't personally say if this works or not since I haven't tried it.

You may also want to try scanning at large resolutions and then resizing later.

Well the 15 degree trick is mainly for scanning halftone screened origianls. Halftone screens are typically angled 15 degrees from one another, Yellow sometimes placed at a 13 degree offset. By scanning at 15 degrees, you can help prevent morie paterns from accuring. But it doen't realy help with eliminating the halftone pattern.
