Ok, I made this little logo thing and i wanted to know which of these looks better... neither of them are finished, but I'm not an expert with photoshop by any stretch of the word.

I would not call them logos in the strict sense, they look more like a banner for something.

Logo design is not dependant on Photoshop skills, its dependant on the feeling you want to give to the "product" you want to "sell", and a bit of graphic design knowledge.

A search on the FAQ helps :FAQ: Can you give me some advice on creating a logo?

no, this isn't for a product, It's my handle for a website, theres a members area with names and pictures... I just wasn't sure which looked better and you guys are the pro's (well, some of you at least)

the Big Sig FAQ :FAQ: is extreamly helpful. you can look at what some of the other inmates have done and well as get some general guidelines for making a decent sig. definitely be sure to check out the Really Bad Sigs bit.

Chiggins:If it is a banner/header graphic for a web site then we'd need to see the page it is designed for as it is impossible to tell how it would fit in - personally I'd go for something a bit more subtle but it might need to be like that because of the rest of the page.

It's gaudy, large, ugly and whorish. The text is boring, the flames are cheesy, the text effects looks like shit, it lacks any hint of (your) knowledge of color theory.

At least there is no lens flare.
