Topic awaiting preservation: need texture (Page 1 of 1)

Hi all
I need a good texture to use at the background of my image. My image is a signet of one of the ottoman empires. If not a texture it can be a container for the signet or something like that. Can anybody help me about it?

Again, I have to say...I don't understand what it is you want here. Are you expecting someone to simply provide you with a particular image when you have not even made it clear what it is you need?

Are you looking for tips on how to make the image you need?

Or do you just enjoy asking vague questions and then being an asshole when you don't get the answer you seem to want?

derketa! consider this. There is the possibility that just because your question makes sense to you, it may not make sense to others.
I don't understand exactly what it is you want either. Apart from (perhaps) a lesson in good manners judging by the way you answered DL-44... Or (perhaps) that was humour and I missed it...
and to pre-empt you complaining about how I made my post to whatever it is, here are some suggestions.

Post or link to a sample image, so we can see what you mean
Type "texture images" or "texture samples" in Google, see if that helps

If you're looking for more of a picturesque like thing and all, try rendering one in some free 3d CAD program and copying/pasting into a scene.

I am asking for links of texture sources(since i did not like the ones i have done). Or an image of a container if anybody has for using at the background. For a nonprofit amateur image, a signet.

I am asking to people who wants to help me, not trying to steal other people's efford or work.

First of all - who said anything about refusing to help?

Second of all - once again, let me reiterate that you did not make it clear whatsoever what is was you wanted here. "texture" is not very specific either - there are countless things that could work for you based on what you've told us - you need to be more specific.

Third - I made the logical assumption, based on your post, that you were creating an image. I made a second logical assumption that it would therefore be plausible that you have the ability to create the texture that you need.

Since you did not make it clear what you wanted, the logical response is therefore that you simply create a usuable texture.

Perhaps not the most helpful suggestion, but based on the information you provided, the best one available to me.

A simple google search for "textures" would very probably yeild a great deal of results. Doc's textures are also, as noted, a great resource still.


It will be helpful for you to remember that the more specific you are, the helpful other people can be. We can't read your mind....

If you grab some free webspace you can throw the link in here (some will allow external linking but as bandwidth is always restricted this sounds the better route) but there are some free image hosting services in the first link.
