I was doeing some thinking yesterday, and realized why I am not as good with P Shop as I think I should be. I can make certain things, certain shapes, certain buttons, certain texts, but I don't know why they came out that way. I ave no clue how the lighting affected my art, no clue why changeing the values of things makes them different. I'm not real sure of what the different layer affects are. That's when I realized I kind of skipped the basics when I started, I just went on to the tuts, and made certain things, because I could do that. I didn't realize that anyone can follow a set of directions, but I skipped the basics! |

To learn how the blending modes work, you can make a vertical gradient in background, and put a layer with an horizontal gradient and vary the blending mode and opacity. |

I'll agree with most other people and say the Gurus Network is a great place to learn about photoshop but maybe not the best place to start
