Topic: multiple frames and the white background (Page 1 of 1)

Hello,

I have a website that got like 3 frames.
1 top navigation menu
2 left nav. menu
3 contents frame

Sometimes clicking on an item in the top navigation menu will cause the 2nd frame and the 3rd frame to reload.

Now, when I change both these frames and while they are being loaded I see a white background until they finish loading so I see my own background color...

How can I show my own background color (to conform my website design) while a new frame is being loaded?

By specifying the background color, like you would for any other html page.

Preferably in a stylesheet -

body {
background-color:#xxyyzz;
}

One page was already loaded with my own bkgcolor say blue.
when the frames are about to change, a white background appears until my new frames show again in my bkgcolor= blue.

as you see, the stage just after unload and before load the white bkg is there....and that is my problem

do you have a link?

There's nothing you can do about the white between page loads. Internet Explorer clears the window the moment you click a link and it can't display the new page until it has received its code. Other browsers (like Mozilla) don't do it that way and display the old page until the new one is loaded - check your site there and you'll see.

But honestly I don't think this part of a second of whiteness is that much of an issue - most IE users probably won't even notice it as they're used to see it every time the click a link.
