I am owrking on a HTML 101 tutorial although don't hold your breath) but you can't beat practice. If she got some free work (local charities, etc.) and fixed up a homepage to experiment with then that would give her the focus to apply what she has learnt and to give her ideas about what extra areas need to be investigated.
