Topic: Web Design Business

Ive been fumbling around with the idea of starting a business in web design, and was wondering if anyone could interject on what it takes to be successful ie; quantity of work or basically if its even worth the effort. just curious i see a lot of business out there and was wondering what it takes.

...if you're fumbling, don't do it, plain and simple--you will fail.

One word: marketing. You gotta be able to sell or you're not gonna have any work, plain and simple. I've been learning this and it's getting better.

Is it worth it? Absolutely, but you've gotta be good and really know your stuff and be ready to manage your own projects...

You might want to consider doing what I am find a successful web company and sign up
for and internship for a little while get your feet wet and learn all you can
when you feel ready tell the your branching out they may even help you get the
jobs you need.
