I've not been here for a long time because I was so busy with so many "other" things, which, I think, is very important for me. I finally realise that I have lost my passion for web/ graphics designs which was the reason why I was driven to this place Doc called asylum. I've been away from Photoshop for a long time that I've lost some of the techniques I've learnt here and there. So, I think I need some counseling on how can I grab those passion again and begin to do something for the domain name that I've already registered November last year. Anyone?

Rick: I think most of us feel like getting away from things and simplifying/changing our lives and in the end it is up to you. If you want to get back into the web designing first try offering your services for free to a charity or something you are very interested in. If its graphics then you can't do much better than the sig competition, make it or pspong to hone your skills (or check out the links to PSPong brothers if that don't suit). Just try something that is fun or interesting rather than something that feels like a chore.

It should be worth bearing in mind that sometimes you should just jack things in and try something different, however, graphics/web design are such flexible skills that they will always be useful.

Sometimes for ideas I just go to the museum for inspiration. I like to look at the traditional artists of old. Michaelangelo, picasso, and george catlin are some of my favorites that give me ideas for my work. I look to see what drove their inspiration. You get what I am saying?

InI : I think I lost this "passion" when I was away from the net for so long. With that in mind, I think I need to surf around again to gain those passion that drives me some years ago.

Emperor: I'll try what you've suggest. In fact, I'm participating in few nonprofits organisation in my campus. I can help them to redesign their site, I think.

Wolfen: Never see you before. Probably you got here when I was away from this place. I hope it's not to late to welcome you. I never thought of a museum to be a place to inspire me. I think I better check site like coolhomepages.com for some inspiration. That's a good idea, though.

Thanks for your counseling, friends. I think I'll be doing some HTML coding again after this.

inspiration cannot be drained like water from a pipe, you have to wait for the right moment.

In my case it's the last minute panic that gets me going.
