Topic: client doesn't seem to want to pay

i'm doing a webpage for a local band (right there i should know better)
and i'm doing it real cheap $10/hr, and i've cut them a lot of slack on time spent, but they're up to $100. I emailed them telling how much they owed, and never got a response. i'm guessing they don't want to pay, i just emailed them again asking them to email me back. what do i do if they don't plan on paying?

p.s. i've got their ftp passwords, so in essence i could just delete everything, which i was considering. my thinking was all the content truly belongs to me, until they pay....

just make sure they don't have the passwords (or change them) and either put up a splash page or take the site offline (just rename the index.html file); they'll learn....

depends, you should consider one more fact. is the site good enough to make someone say "ahhhhhhh, that's amazing, who did that?" if it is....

Agreeing with the above. I've done some band sites and not had them pay before. I just took them down, but made it clear to everyone that I knew on the internet that they were trouble and not to do anything for them cause they weren't going to pay..
