Topic: Uhh... There never was a formula posted... (Page 1 of 1)

Or maybe I'm just too lazy to see if anyone else but Doc had written a formula for calculating hours. Anywho, I was hoping that someone had a good link to information for figuring out that sort of thing. Or, maybe a pricing guide online somewhere? These would help alot. I don't have a particular project in mind, though. I need to know for ALL of my business.
By the way, I was thinking of putting a form up on my page similar to an RFP for people to fill out. Only problem is that I've never seen one before. Any suggestions on where I can get a good one to follow?
Does everybody charge for time invested in proposals, or is it typically a free service?
Do you recommend that I use a sales person to sell our services, or should I probably try to sell them myself since I can't be sure that they would know what a job might involve? Maybe my partner or I would go along with the sales person?
These questions, and maybe more, seek your answers. I'm a guy with plenty of business, but little experience in dealing with clients.

Doc wrote some lengthy stuff on this a long way back (probably over a year ago), it's likely buried in the archives somewhere if you fancy trawling....
