I'm looking for a web designer... not sure of the rules of this board, so someone please let me know what / where would be the most appropriate area to ask.

My project is *for profit* definnitely.
Think GOLF... I'm looking to hook up with a designer(s), hopefully someone who has "always wanted to build a golf web site".

Again... is this the appropriate area to ask?

Just read through the /team project thread a bit... sounds great!
Would anyone object to a *for profit* scenario, possibly a group of people receiving monies for their efforts, maybe even a residual type of deal.

Karl to be honest i have never come across this here before but post something there and it can be discussed thrown around a bit... one of the more senior (as in experienced members) will be able to shed more light on the subject at a guess, this team project thing was something i threw in the mixer today so i cant really give you an answer to your question at the moment. please be patient you have got some of the most talented people around within this crazy place.

The reason I am here, asking such... is because I do know of the talent that is here. I have never been as amazed with design and the web: from fully scripted sites to the little signature's you guys create (still trying to figure out how to do that). The ASYLUM is the place, it is awesome.

I'm excited to be here, and hope that we might be able to collaborate in some way.

I am off to post in the /team project area (any specific area I should go first?).

karl just drop an outlibe of what you want in the main area that you looked at and we can tallk freely about it there and if it seems ok bump it to the project area, like i said this is new territory (a few hours old!) so we will see what happens

I had neglected to review this thread for a few days now. I've been trying to figure out the *project proposal* pages... am now following a link in this thread.

I've been working on a group called Dektron Media, for graphic and web designers. Right now it's to showcase skill and build up individual portfolios but I'd like to make a business out of it in the near future. Something where companies can come and contract our designers for specific tasks. I'm looking for talented people and so far I've had good luck.
