Hi all i know this is a non profit thing etc etc but i have been interested in webdesign for sometime now and i'm getting bored with my current site and wish to go on to bigger and better things which got me into thinking why can't i make some money out of it has any one got any ideas in how to get into freelancing webdesign?

Simple really.

Make some kick-ass personal sites, post the UR:'s on your CV, and send it to as many design houses as you can shake a stick at.

Also, try and do some 'freebies' for local companies.
You'll be doing them a favour, and they'll be adding to your repertoire.
They may even reccomend you to their 'friends' - who you can charge!

Most importantly... make your sites creative and well polished.
You'll catch someone's eye that way.
