I'm at the public lib. how can i work it out? and the Modem is locked up!

There are three steps here, and each one involves a bit of effort, self-motivation, and possibly money.

1) Get a computer that you can install your own software on.

2) Get a graphics program. There are some good free/cheap ones out there, and there are both legal and illegal ways to get a free/cheap copy of Photoshop itself. (Do NOT ever ask us about the illegal ways.)

3) Learn how to use your graphics program. This takes time and practice. Once you've got a grip on things, make a sig. Until then, I recommend using only a simple line of text, or no sig at all. No graphics is far superior to bad graphics.

you know one thing that never ceases to amaze me is the amount of flaming threads associated with some of the newbies, by flaming posts i mean the ones where the folder is in flames...


Thinking back over several run ins with some that have since left these walls and some that have mellowed out and become part of the furniture.

Why is it that not so long ago ifg ya clicked on a thread in flames 99% of the time it was worth reading....


forgive me if i am wrong but hasnt this and a few others served its purpose or run its course, obviously no headway is being made, why not just lock it up, or add it to a deep dark cell somewhere (marked how not to conduct yaself in the asylum...ie ignore everything anybody does to help)
