I'm not sure I'm qualified enough to choose a good contest topic... This month, I chose a broad topic... Science !

You can try whatever pleases you about this topic. It can be about domains like biology, mathematics, engineering or genetics, or about AI, spaceships, researches, electronic, nanotechnology, astronomy... Actually, everything connected with science. Remember that the important point is not the topic, but rather that you enjoy creating a sig.

As usual, the usual rules apply : don't recycle old sigs etc.

Ok, here's an entry. I have a few more ideas (great topic) but this was my first thought.

Mathmatics being the father of all science...

Well...I whipped this up in 3D Studio MAX...don't know how well it's going ot turn out though...



I happened to be looking back through one of my old biology tet books and spotted an artist's concept of what a cold virus particle would look like, and modelled it.

A few times a year I pop in here to post something. Mostly I just sneak around here and try to watch and learn . But practicing is also important to get the skills so I try, when I have time for it, to make something.

Ruku: no, the normal clouds filter, then I shrinked it down by 25% and then I adjusted the levels a bit (it got a bit more darker and 'contrasty').

I'd love to make one that shows the "Big Bang" theory put into play but I just don't have the skills, time, or programs to do it. Would be neat to see it on here.

mas + Jung: Assuming the height of the note is ~1cm, I've measured the dimensions of "Jung's substance" in the pissing can to ~10cm of height and an average diameter of ~7.75cm. All this makes Jung's pissing skills ~0.47 liters. Wow!

Here's a sig made for my friend and a new member to Asylum.

didnt really make this for the comp but it fits so eh =)

i nicked the shapes from that greek.... guy who was really good at math? but hopeless at diagrammes. here, he demonstrates how to make a perfect cube - using three half moons and a circle?! heh guess it's back to the drawing board for him aye? hehe me too i think.

It is always with trepedation that I put up a new sig...I never know how it's going ot turn out.

But, continuining on Lacuna's cool high-powered science stuff theme, I present to you an adaptation of two devides I helped to build as part of a science project. It's a combination of a Van Der Graff Generator (those cool things that generate static electricity and make your hair stand on end) and a Tesla Coil (think 'Command and Conquer').
