Topic awaiting preservation: Seasonal Forums? (Page 1 of 1)

I'm relatively new to the internet, fellow seekers, so I ask for your thoughts. As I peruse the hallowed forums at the Asylum, I ask myself:
Do forum postings go through a kind of seasonal shift?
Most of the time here, there is an abundance of intellegent, caring, insightful comment, often full of humour and sprinkled with useful links. Then like an "open season" , or a rift in time, the malevolent emerge and decide to shout their proclamations of whatever, whenever they can. And just as you turn to face them, they are gone! Never to be seen again.
Has somebody left the gates open?
Am I being given a placebo in place of my Black Pills?
Who's that looking at me in the mirror?
