haha, ok I must admit I am a bit apprehensive about posting here, but hey, what the hell. This is my first attempt at a complete website. It is an early working version, so much of the content is still in the works, but before I go any further I was hoping for some helpful suggestions. Am I treading down the wrong path anywhere? blah blah . . .
I think there is to much empty space (you'll probably notice what I'm referring to), just not sure what to fill it with. Am I planning on using this as a real site, probably not, just need the practice. Anyways, here it is:
However, the colors make my eyes sore and are vomit looking. i would change them. Try www.webwhirlers.com/colors , read the tutorials and what ever you think you should know. Also use the wheel of colors to find a few colors that are nice to the eyes.
Also i looked at your site in 800x600 and there i a horizontal scroll which isn't good. Try and make the bar at the top just a little less wide. The Javascript widows are good but look bulky to me.
Thats it just follow anything emps tells ya if he does that is... you site will work with just a could of tiny adjustments
Ramasax: I'm not sure why you are apprehensive (we don't bite down here). Some quick thoughts:
1. I agree on the colours front (and the recommendation of ZOX's site) they feel a little 'muddy' and could do with being sharpened up.
2. I see all that space and I'm not sure why you've got it there - if it is for content then put some in if not reduce the size or get rid of it.
3. Put the site name in the TITLE tags.
4. In Op6 you have a gap at the bottom of your left menu.
5. PT is right about the small HSBoD at 800x600 its worth fixing it.
6. There is the odd typo
Overall it is a fairly clean and simple design and their are some nice touches (the scrollbar colours work well with that design) - its a promising start.

Please put in some specifications for font size and font-face in your CSS. When I look at with my text size set to medium everything is screwed up.
On the little windows that pop up I think I may keep the font colors the same as they are on the menu. That dark color and the shadow makes it really hard to read. The Minimize and close buttons are a little too big I think. The green bar has some embossing on it which looks a little strange since nothing else on the page has anything like that.
Yep, there is a little too much white space when I look at it on my 1280x1024.
You need something in there that stands out and says: "WE ARE A WEB DESIGN COMPANY!!!" Know what I mean?
Content is still in the works. . . There are some grammar issues in there but we won't bother with that.
First off, thanks for taking the time to look it over.
Patrick : hehe, yeah, the colors look good on my laptop, and I just took at them on my CRT monitor and they are totally different. I see what you mean there. I am looking to stay with a similar color set, earth tones. Maybe I can find a happy medium. HS will be fixed also. And thanks for the link, will check it out.
Emps : Title tag, woops. As far as the extra space goes, I have something in mind to take care of that hopefully. All along I was thinking what should I fill the space with, when I should of been thinking do I need it? The answer of course is no. I guess I should install Op6 as well.
CPrompt : Declaring the font specs in the CSS, well I forgot. Will be fixed. As fur as the grammur goez, aye just through that in teir as temptext fer now. I rilly kin right.
Anyways, thanks for the advice. Glad nobody recommended any major revisions. I made note of recommended changes and will implement them whenever I get some free time (I work long hours on the weekends, arghh!).

ok a few comments on the 'copy.'
Don't think you need 'that is'
Want to create that online presence *that is* so vital in todays competitive marketplace?
willing to take *out* clients by the hand. A bit drastic... but hey if they don't pay.... maybe
You will find that we are *quie* happy to please and taking care of our customers to the best of our ability is goal #1 here.
Forgetting the typo I'm not sure you need all that. How about simply saying: "Taking care of our customers is our #! objective." or "Taking care of you, is our priority."
Way too many *check out* That whole bit there needs to be redone (imo)

NoJive, thanks for your suggestions. Yes, the text sucks eh? haha, just jotted that down to have something there to fill the space for now. Didn't even read it through for typos. I do like some of your ideas though, so thanks on that front.
On the part that says, "Willing to take our clients by the hand" hehe Should have been *our*, but I will have a few no-neck italian guys collecting for me, so that might fit.
I see NoJive covered all the text stuff I was going to mention...
Just to make sure a point gets illustrated, this may sound like a repeat. I apologize in advance.
I really don't like when page content refers to links that don't exist.
...or when titles aren't consistant.
You say "...the about us section"
There is no 'about us' link. Only 'about'.
Similarly, the title of the 'about' window says 'about us'.
Consistancy...
Same idea with 'contact' and 'contact us'.
Also, your home page says '...check out our Solutions.'
The link is not capatilized.
Some possible JS problems. I accidently dragged the 'portfolio' window right off the screen...and I couldn't get it back!
Aesthetically, I don't like it...but what's that they say about opinions and rectums...?
These things may all seem minor, but they are truly what makes a good site, a great site.
Keep up the hard work.
