hey, my girlfriend made this site, and she thinks it sucks. I think it's great! Show me some feedback so I can prove her wrong! =D

It looks awsome Bmud! I wish I could make something like that. The design is solid with good color scheme. Iris, you did a great job!

you spelled it "infinately" when it should be "infinitely"

Bmud: It certainly doesn't suck the look and 'concept' is very good. I'm some not sure if you are seeking any more than this but some concerns of mine are that a number of pages are just a large image mapped graphic (which means updating the site, getting listed in search engines and making accessible to people like the blind are going to be problems) and the navigation isn't great (just having a back to index button doesn't lead to intuitive surfing). Oh its worth noting that the scrolling layer in the journal doesn't work in Opera (due to problems with clipping) and the studio link doesn't work.

Anyway she has nothing to worry about there.

BMud, tell your girlfriend it looks great. Follow what emps said , and maybe slow down the scrolling on the digi-journal.

don know...can't get with the full page images that take forever to dl. The image is well done thought, very artsy. Needs more text to image contrast.

Right now I'm at work on a DSL so I don't really know how long it takes to dl.

1. Maybe center the contents on the page?
2. On the inner pages, the navigation lacks. There is a link to the main page but I shouldn't have to click twice when I could only click once. Know what I mean?
3. I'd like to have some text in there.

It doesn't suck but judging from some of the content I am wondering what she is so depressed about. Woooo. . .

Well, no...it doesn't suck.

But...

It is very cliche. It is also rather visually confusing.

It's really hard to tell what I should be looking at or why, and what the purpsoe of any of it might be, at first glance.

I think it certianly has potential, and I have seen a whole lot worse.

But it needs focus.

Could you tell me where she got that font for the website? I like the font.

Emps: You have a very good point about taking the blind into consideration. I myself don't think about that very often when working in flash or whathaveyou.(sp?)
Allewyn: Definately! The images ARE huge. All of her sites tend to do that, and I've never agreed with it. She planned on using sliced images, but I argued that slicing wouldn't make it much smaller. I tried optimizing one of the images without much success. There is too much mixture of pixel-graphics and i quickly lose the TV-like haze.

everyone: I think I may have posted this a tad too early. iris' attitude towards her site has improved over the past couple of days, and now that she has a bit more up and running, she's feeling happier with the project. Never the less, thanks all for your comments - but don't hesitate to keep posting! She won't see this until tomorrow.

ehhhhhhhhhhhh...its aight, i think the whole lines everywhere thing is kinda played out though.

I'm not sure how much Iris appreciated all of your input. From what I can tell, she's only going to keep doing what she knows how to do. It's not that she's lazy, but she finds herself running into too many problems when she codes a bunch. So if she wasn't at all appreciative (which I think she is, just not saying it), I have to say thanks for taking a good peek. Oh, and Emps, I'm in charge of the studio. That's why it isn't up yet. lol
