Topic: CSS Layout Contest? (Page 1 of 1)

How about a CSS Layout contest for the asylum inmates?

Not a website, no content, no images, just (X)HTML and CSS with a little Javascript thrown in for good measure, if ya want.

Kinda like the templates over at Glish, but I'm sure we could do better than that. Since web design has reached the point that CSS is a very viable option there's many ways to skin this cat in terms of design now. So how about it, wanna give it a test run or is this just another one of my dumb ideas?

Nawww, not a dumb idea.

How 'bout we just start making some CSS layouts and posting them? Maybe in Outpatient or the Mad Scie. Lab?

I can do that Maybe just use the Lorem Ispom for text?

You could probably run that here - just for and to see how far you can push things I'd suggest the only rule is that it has to be IE, NS and Op compatible

Well as I've just finished the first page for my site re-design...
It's compliant in IE6, OP6, NN6 and Mozilla 1.1, unfortunately it's heavy on imagery, but is 100% CSS (inc the DHTML look a likes).....

Still having problems in Opera but working on it
The layout itself is just CSS, the navigation and all that implies JS and PHP.

I was kinda thinking along the lines of a Asylum only thang. No prizes, just something fun.

Sounds good Dracusis. Let's just come up with some "layouts" and share them among the Asylum. Is that what you were kind of looking for? Layouts? Something that someone could use for a template for a page.
