![]() Recentely someone said never to use negative z-index, -1, -2 etc, i cant remember which post it was from. I was wondering what the reasoning is behing this and what problems it causes, anyone know? - Thanks |

![]() Well, I do know that according to the specs, boxes may have negative stack levels. I would imagine, though, that there is a (or possibly more than one) browser out there that screws this up. This is usually the case. |

![]() Interesting, well i've tried them in the versions of Opera, Mozilla, I.E 5.5 & IE6 that i have, and no problems. So im wondering why it was said, its interesting though, if i put somethings in the same layer as index 1 , 2, it does something different to if i put them in as , -1, 1. I think ill look into it a bit more |
