I've been messing around with SVG for a little while now, I can't seem to get two separate svg documents to talk with one another using a function in javascript.

It supposed to work like this...

There are two SVG documents embeded in an HTML document.

The HTML document contains a javascript function, that whenever an element in the first SVG document is clicked the javascript function is supposted to be called, and from the javascript function it should modify the second SVG document.

But when I click the first SVG document all I get is an error message saying it can't find the javascript function.

I'm not making all this up, I based it on the code in the example from the example at: http://www.adobe.com/svg/dynamic/mouseevents.html

Theirs works I can't figure out why mine doesn't.....

Oh well if you have any insight
(Probably wouldn't kill me to learn XML first)

We have done so.

Thanks INI!
That did the trick, I guess I don't know the DOM very well.
