Topic: array! grid toy (Page 1 of 1)

Hey, just showing off. Pleased with this I am.
Using a for loop to make a grid array.
Then DupeMovie and a few more arrays to send things to bits of it.
And some randomness.

Not a new idea but gosh its fun.

Ummm yah, theres a couple bugs to sort out - when I wake up I'll be adding letter (alphabet) arrays .... then you can type stuff into it. And watch it appear. Won't that be fun.

Click 'options'.
Set the screen to blue and 'pace' to about 50. Think it wants some fish?

actually im looking at it on a very slow computer which is making the animation to a dia-show.

guess this might be even more fun on a fast machine!

What is the shhhh button supposed to do? Is this thing supposed to make sound?

The typing version will really impress me.

i also thought, that shhhh makes some sound...
but...seems as if shhhh stops the animation.

Now THAT is amazing. I love the options, espeially those of C, which allow the mouse to hide in there and move around! Sweet work wedah!

I had these shaded with radial grads, looked hell disco, but too slow to be useful, here anyways.

Yah 'shh' stops the lil dots from reproducing ...but mouse clicks turn them back on in the above version so that was a bit pointless.

I've made a parser clip for reading multiple (and varible numbers) of MD-Arrays from PHP into fash. Its really sweet, has a lil bootstrap array the clip walks thru, parsing the actual MD arrays by name and sending them to _root. They can be as deep as the situation requires, in this case they'd hold x,y co-ords for letters, but really name/value pairs have infinite uses. More soon.

Yah that will sure be something InI, I think you'll have a one of a kind tool there. Truely amazing.
If you get a bit of time (hehe) I'd love to know more about how that will work at the user end - if you have some relevant links to stuff I could read, Java is pretty new to me, interaction with Flash even more so.

It's almost scary ya know, I got to the bottom of your post, read the wintab page and did this kinda 'gulp' thing. That's just *too* easy. I imagined it to be much more complex - I think I'm in shock.

I love it, truly incredible InI. There's the potential for all sorts of fun in this - live Pong matches, tutorials, development on the client making it more photoshop like - hey this might interest you, if only as an example - Vectadraw (thanks Steve!)

But yah, I can't wait to see what you do with it, keep us informed.
