More then once I saw a commercial from at&t / yellow pages
Jumping on my browser while surfing. The curiosity is that was
A flash file, with transparent background!
It appears as pop up
And the flash movie cover any page/frameset but live out
the space between the SQUARE window and its irregular shape

We have done so.

Hello there, thank you so much! SORRY I ?m just back from the hospital?
But, was nobody?s problem.
Any way:
-hard to find the link as it floats through every sites, toolbar hided;
-but, would be helpful to post example on how to make a flash bg
transparent in a window on top of another.html (possible?)
Actually, that effect is quite easy to achieve. When you publish your movie, in the HTML tab choose "transparent background. (or just add the parameter yourself in the code)
1. The flash goes into a layer.
2. and add the parameter to the code:
PARAM NAME=wmode VALUE=transparent

yes, it is an impressive chunk of flash.. but, unfortunetly I cant take credit for it. I found it on flash kit and thought it would be perfect for the above "transparent BG" example, as the animation contains its own transparency.
As far as nobodywebsite not reaching the page.. I was shuffling the file about.. maybe now you can reach it now.
(The server it resides on is in Australia - if that does you anygood )

This won't work in anything except IE on a PC. Flash allows you to make transparent backgrounds when you load into levels, but you need a base (_level0) movie to load into. If your good with HTML, and f your using a stationary image, you could mimic this in the first flash movie then load on top for a cool effect.
Here's a cool way to do something similar, http://www.blueabuse.com/site/14/ Click on the radio to launch . I'm working on a project using this method, it uses QuickTime - so you'll need QT to view it.
personally i believe they dont even use a pop up widow its transparent so couldnt they just embed it into a reg html page and bingo you got what appears to be an ad floating ect.....=)
