i think flash should be standardized by the w3c.org and added to the image tag.

In the 4.01 specs, the W3C has a whole explanation of how the <img> tag isn't expandable enough to support emerging things like Flash and whatever other plugins may come out in the future. That's what they introduced the <object> tag for.

Let me see if I can find that page...

ok. i just thought because flash isnt like any other plugin. its becoming a webstandard more and more. afaik most browsers come with the flash-plugin preinstalled.
