Uh-oh... I've discovered a new dimension. Oooh.... Ahhhh... Now that's cool. That's for me!

But I'm curious. Nurbs. I haven't played with nurbs yet. So, how to nurbs and patches compare? Like, when are patches better than nurbs and visaversa?

Patches still kind of blow my mind. Why, back in my day...

You can use both nurbs and patches for everything, it comes down to what you like most. I have seen incredible scenes done with both nurbes and with patches...

From what I've seen so far, it looks to me like nurbs are the next step beyond patches. That's my observation so far. I haven't really dug too deep into either of them yet.

I'll keep at it.

You'll get better rounded surfaces with nurbs than with patches. I like nurbs better because I've always had better luck with splines. They still don't compare to subdivision surfaces (which are a pain to use in my opinion, but result in great 'organic' renders).
